Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Calico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calico comes to the cage accompanied by Heat--J.U.I.C.E.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calico throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dan Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A swing and a miss from Calico.

Calico rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Smith misses with a hook from the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Smith.
A nice left hand lands by Smith.
Smith tries a body shot but Calico blocks it.
Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Calico.
Calico has a couple of punches blocked by Smith.
Smith tries to throw a body punch but Calico avoids it by throwing Smith back against the cage.
Smith misses with the head strike.
Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Calico misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Smith lands a hook to the side of the head.
Smith scores with a shot to the side of Calico's head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Smith.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith lands a left hand.
Smith swings wildly with an uppercut but Calico uses good head movement to avoid it.
Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Smith is trying to force a seperation but Calico has the dominant position.
Smith tries to work over Calico's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Smith lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Calico backwards.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Calico throws a leg kick but Smith sees it coming and moves out of range.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calico manages to avoid it.
Smith swinging wildly here.
Calico ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Calico throws a quick inside leg kick.
Calico scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith throws a solid leg kick but Calico takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Smith.
Calico misses with a head kick.
Calico looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range.
Calico misses with a low kick as Smith jumps back.
Calico misses with a low kick.
Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Calico circles away quickly and effectively.
Calico throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Calico takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That kick from Calico tenderised Smith's leg. Smith is trying to keep his angry face on.
Calico takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Smith throws a low kick but Calico moves out of range easily.
Smith lands a glancing blow to the side of Calico's head.
The fighters circle, before Smith throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Calico's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Smith lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
