Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ray Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Oliver might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman-Metallica. Jeff Chan acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Oliver is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Oliver passes into half guard.
Chan is staying active underneath Oliver, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Oliver is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Oliver.
Chan is in trouble now - Oliver has advanced to mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oliver tries to get the hooks in deep but Chan pushed the leg off.

You can see the frustration on Chan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Oliver has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Chan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
