Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erik Quin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toshi Matoshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Michel Teló - Ai Se Eu Te Pego . Matoshin has chosen Mortal Kombat theme as his entrance music. Toshi Matoshin has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Quin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toshi Matoshin!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quin with a poor takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
A big right from Matoshin misses.
Quin shoots and misses
and Matoshin counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Quin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Matoshin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Matoshin lands a head shot.
Quin moves out of range of the body kick.

Quin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Toshi Matoshin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Matoshin lands with a shot to the body.
Matoshin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Quin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matoshin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Quin slips a jab from Matoshin.
Matoshin lands with a nice combination. Quin backs away looking to recover.

Matoshin looks to score with a jab to the body but Quin is just out of range.
Matoshin thows a body shot but no joy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Quin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Matoshin counters with a left to the body.

Quin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Quin seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matoshin is looking for a sweep. Quin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Matoshin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quin pulls his head out easily.

Matoshin is looking to escape.
Matoshin is looking to control Quin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Matoshin avoid being mounted?
Matoshin is in trouble now - Quin has advanced to mount!

Matoshin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Quin.

Matoshin wants to hold on but Quin pushes him away.
Matoshin is looking to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matoshin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Matoshin regains half guard.
Matoshin wants to improve his position but Quin is controlling well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Quin is pressing down on Matoshin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Matoshin is holding on for now.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Quin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Matoshin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

An inside leg kick lands from Matoshin.
Matoshin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Quin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Matoshin lands a nice shot that snaps Quin's head back.
Quin tries for a takedown but Matoshin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Quin shoots in for a double leg but Matoshin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Matoshin looks to score with a jab to the body but Quin is just out of range.
Matoshin lands a head kick!

Matoshin loads up on a big right hand but Quin slips the punch.
Quin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Matoshin works over Quin's head and body with a nice combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Quin shoots in and bounces Matoshin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Matoshin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Matoshin is looking for a triangle but Quin pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Toshi Matoshin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Quin shoots in but Matoshin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Quin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matoshin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Quin somewhat.

Matoshin throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A left lands for Matoshin.
Quin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Quin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Quin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Erik Quin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Matoshin lands a nice hook to Quin's body. Quin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Matoshin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Quin avoids the body shot from Matoshin.
Quin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Matoshin counters with a good low kick that Quin was not able to check.

And that's the end of the fight!
Toshi Matoshin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Matoshin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
