Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryuken Yanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Smoke the Fire as his entrance music. The key to victory for Ryuken Yanagi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yanagi as he jumps to the side.

Yanagi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yanagi somewhat.
Smith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Yanagi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Smith sprawls well initially but Yanagi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Yanagi lands a nice forearm strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryuken Yanagi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Smith fails with a takedown attempt.

Yanagi scores with a big shot! Smith's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Smith! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
