Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Kazansky!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nickson pushes Kazansky up against the cage in a clinch.
Nickson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kazansky's defenses.

Nickson pulls guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nickson is on top in guard.
Kazansky has a closed guard, preventing Nickson from standing up.
Nickson forces his way into half guard.
Nickson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Kazansky kicks off Nickson and gets to his feet.
Nickson lands with a nice combination. Kazansky backs away looking to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kazansky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kazansky closes the distance and clinches up with Nickson, looking for a takedown. Kazansky pushes Nickson against the cage but Nickson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nickson has closed the distance and engaged Kazansky in a clinch.

Nickson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Nickson wants to stand up but Kazansky manages to regain full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kazansky has his foot on Nickson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nickson works his way back into a safe position though.

Kazansky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Nickson with a flurry of punches that miss.

Kazansky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nickson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nickson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kazansky is proving hard to escape from.
Nickson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nickson is looking to stand up but Kazansky won't let him.
Kazansky controls Nickson momentarily but Nickson frees himself.

Nickson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Nickson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kazansky on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nickson gets to his feet. Kazansky looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Nice takedown defense from Nickson. No joy for Kazansky on that attempt.

Nickson moves into the clinch.
Nickson lands an elbow just above Kazansky 's eye.

Nickson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kazansky shoots for a double leg takedown but Nickson sprawls well. He's pushed Kazansky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johan Nickson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Kazansky.
Kazansky looks gassed!

Nickson rushes Kazansky and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kazansky tries to pull guard but Nickson won't allow it.

Nickson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nickson moves into range and clinches up with Kazansky.

Nickson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nickson throws a head kick that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nickson stuffs the takedown.

Nickson darts in and clinches Kazansky up against the cage.

Nickson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Nickson moves into the clinch.
Nickson lands an elbow that stopped Kazansky in his tracks for a moment.
Nickson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kazansky takes an elbow to the temple.


Kazansky is rocked!
Knees to the body from Nickson.
Kazansky is still on wobbly legs! Can Nickson finish him?
Nickson pushes Kazansky against the cage. Nickson is working some dirty boxing. Nickson pushes off with a quick right hook! Kazansky goes down! Kazansky tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Nickson moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johan Nickson!
