The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quintana lands with a good body shot.
Cocainich looks for a takedown but Quintana sprawls well.

Cocainich closes the distance and pushes Quintana back into the cage.
Cocainich drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Quintana gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cocainich thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cocainich tries to free his leg and advance position but Quintana is retaining full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Carlos Quintana hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Quintana connects with a leg kick. Cocainich looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cocainich takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Quintana is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Quintana lands a big head kick that sends Cocainich tumbling to the mat! Quintana takes a step backwards and waves Cocainich back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Quintana lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cocainich walks straight into a right hand from Quintana - that's dropped him! Quintana jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Cocainich from any more punishment! Cocainich complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
