PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Spartilius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Bourne told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartilius lands an overhand right.
Bourne misses with an uppercut.
Bourne throws a lazy right hand but Spartilius sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Spartilius takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Spartilius avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Bourne gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Spartilius got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bourne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spartilius has managed to get both his arms back between Bourne's legs - danger averted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bourne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Spartilius doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Spartilius manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
