The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santoro bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sloppy strikes from Stroya. Those never looked like landing.
Dee Stroya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stroya enables Santoro to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stroya manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Santoro postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Stroya in real trouble here! The ref calls for Stroya to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
