The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malenko pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rakhmanov back to the cage. Malenko follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

An inside leg kick lands from Rakhmanov.
Malenko tries to clinch but Rakhmanov moves out of range.
Rakhmanov takes a swing at Malenko's ribcage but misses.
Rakhmanov connects with a leg kick. Malenko looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rakhmanov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Malenko takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rakhmanov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Malenko rather than just go for the knockout.
Malenko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Rakhmanov counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Malenko! He's just covering up as Rakhmanov starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

A relieved looking Mikhail Rakhmanov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
