PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thuam Chaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JIm Jimw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thuam Chaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, JIm Jimw!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimw throws a head kick but Chaka moves out of range.
Jimw tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chaka paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chaka takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Thuam Chaka has been cut.

Jimw has taken the fight to the clinch.
Chaka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Chaka misses with a punch on the inside.
Chaka is working for takedown but Jimw is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jimw using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Chaka has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Chaka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jimw smiles and moves away.
Jimw moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jimw throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Chaka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jimw defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thuam Chaka. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chaka drives through and clinches with Jimw against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chaka drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jimw pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jimw throws a sloppy head kick and Chaka moves out of range easily.
Jimw throws a head kick that misses.
Jimw defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chaka.

Jimw shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jimw was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Chaka wants to hold on but Jimw pushes him away.
Chaka regains half guard.
Jimw takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chaka wants to control but Jimw is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jimw is keen to just control but Chaka is a slippery customer.
Chaka is looking to control Jimw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chaka avoid being mounted?
Chaka moves into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Chaka has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jimw should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chaka has tightened it up now! Jimw should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Thuam Chaka decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
