With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miles Harunodo!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Za avoids the head kick by Harunodo.
Za shoots for a double leg takedown but Harunodo sprawls well. He's pushed Za's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Za fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harunodo manages to avoid it.
Za misses with a straight right.
Harunodo plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Ai Za has been cut.

Za feints and as Harunodo raises his hands in defense, Za changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Za trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Za has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harunodo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Za sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Harunodo's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Harunodo is defending against the submission attempts here by Za.
Harunodo wants to get back to his feet.

Za performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Za is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Za passes to side control.
Harunodo on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Za tries to move into full mount but can't pass Harunodo's legs.
Za is looking to take a break and control but Harunodo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Za is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Harunodo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Za wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Harunodo, who protects the arm well.
Za moves into full mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Harunodo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Za pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Za throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Za throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Harunodo has his hands clasped together but Za breaks the hold and Harunodo is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Za!

Ai Za retains his light heavyweight title!
