Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Rampage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Rampage!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rampage shoots and misses
and Dixon counters with a two punch combo.

and Dixon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Dixon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Adam Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Rampage.
Dixon content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Dixon wants to stand but Rampage is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dixon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rampage tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dixon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dixon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rampage to his feet.

Dixon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dixon lands in his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dixon pushes down on Rampage's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Dixon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dixon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Dixon drops an elbow to the side of Rampage's head.

Rampage is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dixon pulls his head out easily.

Rampage is in a horrible position here. Dixon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Dixon is landing with some decent strikes but Rampage is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Dixon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rampage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Dixon looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rampage is looking to improve his position but Dixon isn't that keen on the idea.
Dixon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Rampage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dixon as he avoids it easily.

Dixon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rampage keeps working.
Rampage tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dixon presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dixon is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Dixon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rampage's half guard.
Adam Dixon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dixon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rampage defends it well.

Dixon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Dixon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rampage can do to turn this around?

Dixon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dixon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dixon manages to capitalize on a mistake by Rampage to take his back!

Rampage rolls, trying to escape but Dixon keeps control of the position.

Dixon is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rampage has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Dixon has managed to slip his arm under Rampage's chin. This could be all over... yep, Rampage is tapping out! Submission win for Dixon.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Adam Dixon!
