Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samak Tiyapairat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tiyapairat might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ram Muay. On his way into the cage it seems that Samak Tiyapairat has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Samak Tiyapairat seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamad misses with a kick to the body.
Tiyapairat throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tamad throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tiyapairat stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tamad ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Tiyapairat has managed to clinch.
Tamad working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Tiyapairat misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tamad.

Tamad breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tiyapairat has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tiyapairat there as he acknowledges the shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Tamad.
Tiyapairat tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tamad swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tamad takes a swing at Tiyapairat's ribcage but misses.
Tiyapairat throws a jab but it's blocked by Tamad.
Tamad scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Samak Tiyapairat has been cut.

Tiyapairat looks to throw the jab but Tamad is out of range.
Tamad lands a jab to Tiyapairat's midsection.
Tamad swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Tiyapairat will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tamad lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tiyapairat backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tiyapairat swings wildly with an uppercut but Tamad uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Tamad counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tamad keeps Tiyapairat at a distance using the push kick.
Tiyapairat walks into a stiff left hand from Tamad.
Tamad lunges at Tiyapairat with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tiyapairat's hand.

Tamad connects with the punch.
Oh Tiyapairat is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tamad drops Tiyapairat with a naaaaasty hook - Tiyapairat is in real trouble here! Tamad dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
