Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mr Meogy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrell Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Summers is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Last Chance. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mr Meogy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrell Summers!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meogy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Summers as he jumps to the side.

Meogy gets caught flat footed, as Summers shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Summers trying to control the position from guard on top but Meogy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Meogy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Summers is aware though and is defending well.
Meogy wants to sweep but no luck.
Summers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Meogy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Summers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Summers pushes down on Meogy's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Summers slows the pace down in half guard.
Summers seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Meogy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Meogy wants to control but Summers is keeping busy.
Still in half guard, Summers seems content to control.

Meogy has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Summers escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Summers!
Meogy can't do much from the bottom here.
Meogy is looking to regain half guard here but Summers keeps moving and retains side control.

Summers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meogy keeps working.
Summers has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Meogy!
Meogy wants to hold on but Summers pushes him away.
Summers tries to control but Meogy wriggling away.
Meogy is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Summers has taken his back.

Summers is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Meogy knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Meogy for a finish.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Meogy is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Summers doesn't have the hooks in and Meogy manages to turn into his guard.
Meogy looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Meogy slips nicely into half guard.
Meogy controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Meogy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Meogy wants to take a breather but Summers is having none of it.
Summers wants to get back to full guard.
Meogy is trying to control. Summers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Well, if Meogy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mr Meogy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Meogy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Meogy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Summers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Summers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyrell Summers dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Meogy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Summers slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Meogy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Summers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Meogy is working hard here to advance position.
Meogy passes Summers's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Meogy slips a nice elbow through Summers's hands, connecting with Summers's forehead.
Summers moves into full guard.
Meogy trying to control the position from guard on top but Summers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Summers is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Summers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Meogy defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meogy is pushing down on Summers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Summers is fighting to maintain full guard but Meogy has managed to sneak the leg through.
Meogy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Summers keeps working.
Summers tries to get to full guard but Meogy has control of the leg.
Summers is not content to let Meogy control the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Summers actively working from the bottom here.

Meogy is trying to control the action in half guard but Summers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Meogy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Summers is just riding it out for now. Meogy eventually gives up the hold.
Meogy is trying to control. Summers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Meogy with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mr Meogy just wasn't active enough.
Summers lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

A telegraphed right hand from Summers misses the target.
Meogy keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Meogy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Summers as he jumps to the side.
Summers feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Meogys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Summers stuffs the takedown attempt from Meogy. Meogy gets slowly back to his feet.
Summers missing with a left hand there. Meogy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Summers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Meogy tries to bench press Summers off him but Summers keeps the position.
Summers has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Summers trying to control but Meogy is having none of it.
Meogy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Meogy slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Meogy is looking for a sweep. Summers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mr Meogy will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Summers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meogy is trying to keep Summers in close.
Summers preventing the sweep.
Summers works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Meogy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Summers wants to take a breather but Meogy is having none of it.
Meogy wants to get back to full guard but Summers has mounted him!
Summers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Summers tries to control but Meogy wriggling away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Summers wants to finish this one by submission but Meogy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Summers.

Summers is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Meogy can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Summers looking to control but Meogy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Meogy sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Summers works his foot free and advances to mount.

Summers forces the positional change into back control.
Summers avoiding Meogy 's attempts to control his hands.
Meogy tries to roll but Summers sticks to his back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Meogy manages to reverse the position and now he's in Summers's guard. Nice work there by Meogy.

Summers looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Meogy trying to control but Summers is working from the bottom.

Summers working for a triangle but Meogy defends it easily.
Summers is controlling Meogy's posture.
Meogy looking to pass the guard.
Meogy trying to control the position from guard on top but Summers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Meogy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Mr Meogy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Summers closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Meogy's guard.
Summers passes into half guard.
Meogy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Summers is looking to take a break and control but Meogy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Summers is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Meogy has managed to free his arm - good work.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyrell Summers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Summers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
