Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gim Ruut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruut comes to the cage accompanied by Static - Mr. Big. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gim Ruut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tim Bradley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradley tries to clinch up but Ruut circles away and keeps his distance.
Ruut getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


It looks like Tim Bradley has been cut.
Bradley shoots in but Ruut avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bradley ducks right into an uppercut from Ruut.
Bradley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bradley fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bradley avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ruut cracks Bradley with a good jab.

Ruut shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bradley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bradley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruut. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bradley takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ruut sizes up Bradley with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ruut rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bradley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ruut scores with a nice strike.
Ruut throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ruut avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ruut throws the left hand but Bradley avoids the punch easily.
Bradley fails with a takedown attempt.
Ruut blocks a head kick by Bradley.
Bradley takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A right-left combo lands from Ruut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bradley defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ruut.

Ruut is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bradley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bradley shrugs it off.

Ruut looking to secure an arm triangle but Bradley defends it well.

Ruut goes for an armbar but Bradley turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bradley.

Ruut has his feet on Bradley's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Ruut circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ruut counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bradley tries to clinch up but Ruut circles away and keeps his distance.
Gim Ruut is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bradley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ruut moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ruut tries to bum rush Bradley with a series of wild strikes but Bradley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ruut misses with a straight right.
Bradley wants to clinch.
Gim Ruut is winning the standup battle so far.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bradley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bradley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Ruut. Those never looked like landing.

Ruut drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ruut passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ruut thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ruut decides to stand back up. Ruut steps back and let's Bradley get back to his feet.
Ruut moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Ruut displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bradley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ruut.
Bradley fails with the takedown.
Gim Ruut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Bradley.
Bradley takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bradley shoots in and drives through. Ruut sprawls well.
Bradley shoots in for a double leg but Ruut sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ruut bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bradley's head backwards.
Bradley is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Ruut moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gim Ruut!
Gim Ruut was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
