The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels lands with a hook. Patterson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Hank Patterson has been cut.
Patterson tries to clinch there but Daniels circles away.
Patterson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Daniels.
Daniels fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Daniels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Patterson as he jumps to the side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daniels is defended easily by Patterson.
Hank Patterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Daniels.

Daniels is trying to pull guard but Patterson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Daniels wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Patterson has him pressed against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Patterson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Daniels is looking to break free of the clinch but Patterson has double underhooks.

Patterson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hank Patterson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Patterson closes the distance and clinches.

Daniels is trying to force a seperation but Patterson has the dominant position.
Patterson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Daniels tries to score a body lock takedown but Patterson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Patterson unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Daniels! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Patterson is unloading with more strikes now! Daniels drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
