Schaeffer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Long Tall Sally. Straight Flush had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Straight Flush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dutch Schaeffer!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schaeffer throws a nice looking combination but Flush bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Good exchange - Schaeffer coming out on top.


It looks like Straight Flush has been cut.
Schaeffer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Schaeffer closes the distance but Flush moves to the side
enabling Flush to counter with a crisp jab.
Flush fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Flush shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Flush trying to pass the guard but Schaeffer defending well.
Schaeffer wants to get back to his feet.
Schaeffer tries to get to full guard but Flush has control of the leg.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schaeffer taking some punishment here, with Flush in his half guard.

Schaeffer looking for submissions off his back.
Flush is nestled in close to Schaeffer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Schaeffer is pressing down on Flush's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Flush is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Flush wants to control from the top but Schaeffer keeps moving.
Flush controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Flush working some strikes from top position.
Flush scoring with some ground and pound.

Schaeffer has momentary wrist control but Flush slips an elbow through the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Schaeffer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flush doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Flush manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Flush wants to control from the top but Schaeffer keeps moving.
Flush trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Flush is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Schaeffer looking to control but Flush passes into half guard.
Flush content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Flush missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Flush not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schaeffer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flush is working away from the top position though.

Schaeffer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schaeffer is trying to maintain the position but Flush is very close to passing his half guard.
Flush drops an elbow to the side of Schaeffer's head.
Schaeffer is trying to control but Flush manages to pass to mount!
Schaeffer is squirming around, avoiding Flush's attempts to control the action.

Flush landing punches.
Flush looking to control and managing it successfully.
Flush pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Flush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Schaeffer tries to lock up and control but Flush gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Flush landing punches.
Schaeffer tries to reverse the position but Flush maintains control.
Flush is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Flush lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Flush lands a nice shot to the head.
Flush in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Flush loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Schaeffer scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Flush land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Flush stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Straight Flush!
Straight Flush bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
