PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pierre La Plante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). La Plante comes to the cage accompanied by MegaDeth- This Day We FIGHT!. Sosa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by HELLUVA LIFE. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Plante misses with a two punch combination.
La Plante throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
La Plante throws a right and a left that both miss.
La Plante lands a two punch combo.
La Plante throws a head kick but Sosa moves out of range.
La Plante misses with a jab, cross combination.
La Plante misses the shot to the body.
La Plante tries to bum rush Sosa with a series of wild strikes but Sosa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sosa misses with a straight right.
La Plante scores with a jab.
La Plante misses with a few strikes there.
La Plante goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
La Plante avoids the head kick by Sosa.

Sosa takes the fight into the clinch.
La Plante is looking to break free of the clinch but Sosa has double underhooks.
A short right from Sosa on the inside.

La Plante escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
La Plante throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sosa.
La Plante looks for a takedown but Sosa sprawls well.
La Plante throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sosa counters with a stiff right hand.
A lazy left from Sosa finds it's target.

It looks like Pierre La Plante has been cut.
Mauricio Sosa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sosa enables La Plante to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sosa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
La Plante missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Sosa has his feet on La Plante's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sosa lands a nice looking body shot.
No joy there for La Plante, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sosa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from La Plante.
La Plante throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
La Plante looks to land a right hand but Sosa moved out of range.
La Plante misses with a double jab.
La Plante swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sosa counters with a lovely shot to the body.
La Plante scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sosa doesn't seem bothered though.
La Plante throws a lazy head kick
and Sosa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

A jab from Sosa does it's job there.
La Plante misses with the combination.
Sosa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits La Plantes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

La Plante is rocked!
La Plante's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and La Plante duly obliges.
La Plante looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Oh La Plante is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sosa lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick by Sosa - that's a beauty! La Plante is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Sosa can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

A very excited looking Mauricio Sosa rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
