Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damien Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Gambini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frankie Gambini told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damien Garcia!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Gambini!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia throws a right and a left that Gambini avoids nicely.
Garcia misses with a wild combination.
Garcia stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Garcia wants it to stay on the feet.
Garcia throws a sloppy head kick and Gambini moves out of range easily.
A jab-cross combination lands for Garcia and sends Gambini crashing to the mat! Garcia follows him down to the mat - Gambini regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Frankie Gambini has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Garcia wants to free his trapped foot but Gambini is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gambini has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Garcia is working away from the top position though.
Gambini works his way to full guard. Good work.
Gambini is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Garcia in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia won't allow Gambini to sweep him here.
Garcia wants to control from the top but Gambini keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Damien Garcia wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Garcia throws a series of punches but Gambini moves out of range.
Garcia works Gambini's body with a nice hook.
Garcia paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gambini shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Garcia counters with a huge left! Gambini is in big trouble! He's backing up but Garcia isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Gambini from any more damage. A dominating finish by Garcia!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien Garcia!

A very excited looking Damien Garcia made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
