Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hack MacDonald Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes into the arena with Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. MacDonald Jr has chosen Cowboys From Hell by Pantera as his entrance music. Hack MacDonald Jr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald Jr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cruz throws out the jab.
MacDonald Jr ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
MacDonald Jr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cruz takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cruz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but MacDonald Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Cruz.

Cruz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from MacDonald Jr.
Cruz rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and MacDonald Jr makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Cruz really felt that one!
MacDonald Jr uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cruz has time to react.

MacDonald Jr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cruz moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

MacDonald Jr jabs Cruz right on the nose. Cruz blinks but takes it well.

Cruz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. MacDonald Jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Cruz finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cruz wants to control from the top but MacDonald Jr keeps moving.

Cruz is persistently looking for the submission but MacDonald Jr is defending it well.

Cruz is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Cruz gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Cruz gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Cruz apologises and we restart here on the feet.
