O Brien kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rocky Road to Dublin. The crowd seem to be enjoying Quiao's choice of entrance music: The Motto - Drake Ft. Lil Wayne and Tyga. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brien waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Quiao.
O Brien dips to his left and cracks Quiao with an uppercut!
Quiao lands with a nice combination. O Brien backs away looking to recover.
O Brien takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nice shot lands for Quiao.
Quiao rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but O Brien moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Donnie O Brien seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quiao works over O Brien 's head and body with a nice combination.
O Brien swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
O Brien will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
O Brien throws a lazy uppercut
and Quiao counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps O Brien thinking.
O Brien throws a hook but Quiao avoids it easily.
O Brien slips a jab and a cross from Quiao.
Quiao steps to the side to avoid the strikes from O Brien .
O Brien drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quiao throws a series of punches but O Brien moves out of range.

O Brien needs to keep his hands up - Quiao had a free shot at his head there.
Quiao cracks O Brien with a right hand to the side of the head.
Quiao connects with a crisp jab.
Quiao scores with a sloppy right hand. O Brien should have avoided that one.

Quiao gets tackled into the cage by O Brien . O Brien maintains the clinch.
Quiao tries to break free but O Brien pushes him back against the cage.

Quiao controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
O Brien bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Quiao's head.
O Brien tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Quiao counters with a stiff right hand.
Quiao works O Brien 's body with a nice hook.
Quiao pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces O Brien back to the cage. Quiao follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
O Brien throws a combination that misses
and Quiao cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fighters circling - O Brien throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Quiao swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Left hook, right uppercut from Quiao.
O Brien lands with a shot to the body.
Quiao feints a jab promting O Brien to slip. Quiao then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. O Brien slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Quiao is working the combinations to good effect here.
O Brien throws a poor cross that misses
and O Brien takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Oh O Brien is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Quiao steps in with a hook that catches O Brien right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Quiao follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! O Brien looks absolutely devastated.
