Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maek Houzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Houzo.
Houzo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Houzo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Houzo tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Houzo to the ground. Houzo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Houzo is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Houzo has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jones celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
