Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evil fails with the takedown.
Evil dives in and grabs Soni's left leg, looking for a takedown. Soni pushes down on Evil's head and hops out.
Evil misses with a takedown
and Soni counters with a nice low kick that buckles Evil's knee momentarily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sauron Evil. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A shot to the liver by Soni. Beautiful body shot.
Evil misses with an uppercut. Soni saw that one coming.
Evil gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Soni makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Soni cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sauron Evil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evil is breathing heavily.
Evil shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Soni counters by moving into the clinch.
Soni goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Soni will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Evil up against the cage.
Soni is leaning against Evil and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Soni receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Soni lands a hook to the side of the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Soni takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Soni turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Soni stands up and beckons Evil to his feet.
Soni connects with a solid leg kick.
Evil with a lazy takedown attempt
and Soni counters with a straight right hand.
Evil shoots and misses

so Soni counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Soni passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Evil prevents Soni from moving into mount.
Soni wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evil keeps working.

Soni tries for a kimura but Evil is defending well.
Evil is trying to improve his position.

Soni has control of an arm but Evil manages to advance to Soni's back!
Evil controlling well, preventing Soni from escaping the position.
What can Soni do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Soni trying to control the hands but Evil won't let him.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Evil is looking to control Soni but Soni is wriggling around and keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Evil avoids a kick to the body.
Tanishk Soni is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Soni fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Evil sprawls well initially but Soni persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Evil is looking to control Soni's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Evil avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Soni seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Evil does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tanishk Soni has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Soni forces Evil back against the cage and clinches.
Soni is pressed up against the cage. Evil has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Soni down to the mat. Soni avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Evil takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Evil gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Soni counters with a good low kick that Evil was not able to check.
Evil misses with a takedown attempt - Soni sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sauron Evil. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Soni pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Evil back to the cage. Soni follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Soni counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Soni throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Evil stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Soni moves into range and clinches up with Evil.
Soni lands an uppercut.
The referee is keeping an eye on Soni - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Evil looking for a takedown.

Soni pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Evil. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Soni thuds a left hand into Evil's body.

Soni decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Soni is looking for a kimura but Evil is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Soni to get the leverage.
Soni is trying to control. Evil wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Evil tries to get to full guard but Soni has control of the leg.
Soni wants to control but Evil is keeping him busy.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tanishk Soni wasn't active enough on the ground.

Soni rushes Evil and presses him up against the cage.

Soni's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Soni counters by moving into the clinch.

Soni has picked Evil up - he's going for a ride! Soni dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Evil tries to roll over but Soni keeps him under control.
Soni is looking to take a break and control but Evil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Soni feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Evil takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Soni throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Soni slaps away a takedown attempt from Evil, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Evil closes the distance and clinches up with Soni, looking for a takedown. Evil pushes Soni against the cage but Soni circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well Soni has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
