Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seppo Kneeigeninen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quaid comes to the cage accompanied by Total Recall. Douglas Quaid has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Douglas Quaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Kneeigeninen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kneeigeninen tries a head kick but it misses.

Quaid closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kneeigeninen to the mat! Kneeigeninen manages to get full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kneeigeninen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Quaid throws a big elbow that misses.
Quaid throws a big right hand that misses.
Quaid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quaid sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Quaid postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kneeigeninen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Quaid pushing down on Kneeigeninen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Kneeigeninen is trying to control but can't.
Kneeigeninen is trying to stand.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Quaid in particular looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kneeigeninen tries to clinch up.

Kneeigeninen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Quaid shoots in and gets a takedown into Kneeigeninen's guard.
Quaid is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Quaid tries to free his leg and advance position but Kneeigeninen is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quaid is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Quaid seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kneeigeninen for as long as he can get away with.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Douglas Quaid.
Quaid tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kneeigeninen was well out of range. Poor timing from Quaid.
Kneeigeninen throws a head kick but Quaid moves out of range.
Kneeigeninen tries to clinch up
and Quaid makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Quaid shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kneeigeninen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Quaid throwing strikes but Kneeigeninen manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Quaid on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Quaid tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Quaid gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Quaid is staying active underneath Kneeigeninen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quaid shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Quaid takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Quaid's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kneeigeninen wants to control but Quaid is having none of it.
Quaid lands a big shot there that rocks Kneeigeninen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Quaid takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kneeigeninen tries to lock up and control but Quaid gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Quaid cracks Kneeigeninen with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Douglas Quaid!
