Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oddie Olias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthias Zacher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthias Zacher!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zacher leaves Olias with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Zacher closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Olias did well to prevent Zacher getting side control.

Olias has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Zacher escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Zacher!

Zacher stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Olias shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zacher as he jumps to the side.

Olias shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zacher pinned against the cage. Zacher gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Oddie Olias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zacher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Olias counters with a one-two to the body.

Zacher shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Olias manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Olias is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zacher defends well.
Zacher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Olias. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zacher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Zacher stands and steps away. Olias gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Olias throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Zacher escapes and throws Olias's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zacher's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Zacher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Olias wants to improve his position but Zacher is controlling well.

Zacher stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Olias to get to his feet.

Zacher jumps guard and drags Olias to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Matthias Zacher is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Zacher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
