Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hasan Husin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ashton has chosen Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashton shoots in looking for a takedown. Husin tries to sprawl out of it but Ashton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Husin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Husin ducks under a wild hook from Ashton.
Husin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ashton swivels and escapes.
Nice takedown defense from Husin. No joy for Ashton on that attempt.
Ashton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hasan Husin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Ashton.

Husin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ashton sees it coming and defends easily.

Ashton isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Husin stacks Ashton on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Husin!

Husin stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Husin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

A big left from Ashton misses.
Ashton throws a hook but Husin avoids it easily.
Ashton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Horrible takedown by Husin or perhaps it was just good defense by Ashton which made him look bad.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ashton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Husin to his feet.

Husin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ashton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Husin is looking for a triangle but Ashton pushes his legs off easily.
Ashton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ashton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Husin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ashton has managed to get both his arms back between Husin's legs - danger averted.

Rick Ashton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ashton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
