Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oktawian August (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). August comes to the cage accompanied by Hit 'em up. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oktawian August!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brett Williams!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Williams. August does a little dance to reset his feet.
August shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Williams throws a chopping leg kick but August manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
August shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Williams stuffs the takedown attempt from August. August gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oktawian August. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Williams throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Williams tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. August manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
August shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Williams defends well against a solid takedown attempt from August.
August shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well.
Williams slaps away a takedown attempt from August, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Williams with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
August lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Williams at a distance.
August takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Sloppy strikes from Williams. Those never looked like landing.
Williams lands with a thumping leg kick.

Williams closes the distance and clinches.
Williams with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Williams lands a hook that snaps the head of August backwards.
August jumps guard but Williams turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Williams is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. August is defending well for now.

August pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams lands a head kick!
Williams feints and then cracks August's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow August down.

August closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Williams quickly recovers to half guard.

August is looking for a kimura here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Williams is looking to control August's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Williams avoid being mounted?

August wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

August is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Williams is just riding it out for now. August eventually gives up the hold.

August misses with a head shot. Williams uses the momentum to regain guard.
August tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth.

August postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Williams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of August, into his guard.

August has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

August has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Williams should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, August has tightened it up now! Williams should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Oktawian August bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
