Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Piugnu Kopo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veli Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwarzeneg closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kopo circles away.
Veli Schwarzeneg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Schwarzeneg shoots in and gets a takedown into Kopo's guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kopo wants to get back to his feet but Schwarzeneg is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Schwarzeneg gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Schwarzeneg has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kopo regains guard immediately.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kopo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schwarzeneg controls the pace.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Kopo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schwarzeneg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schwarzeneg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Schwarzeneg decides to stand back up. Schwarzeneg steps back and let's Kopo get back to his feet.
Kopo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kopo wants it to stay on the feet.

Kopo is working Schwarzeneg over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Schwarzeneg just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Schwarzeneg is not going to allow Kopo to sit and survive in this position.
Kopo tries to escape but Schwarzeneg has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Schwarzeneg is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Kopo. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
