PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lerba Schmeizel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksi Hihnavaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmeizel comes to the cage accompanied by Zorba the Greek. Hihnavaara is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kallio Vice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmeizel throws a head kick but Hihnavaara moves out of range.

Schmeizel closes the distance and clinches.
Hihnavaara tries to pull guard but Schmeizel forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Schmeizel is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Hihnavaara tries to pull guard but Schmeizel holds him up against the cage and eventually Hihnavaara drops back down to his feet.
Schmeizel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hihnavaara blocks it with crossed arms.
Schmeizel misses with a hook from the clinch.
Schmeizel lands an elbow inside that Hihnavaara shrugs off.
Hihnavaara tries to pull guard but Schmeizel forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lerba Schmeizel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksi Hihnavaara.
Hihnavaara tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Schmeizel just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hihnavaara pulls guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hihnavaara is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Schmeizel defends well.

Hihnavaara is looking to sinch up a triangle. Schmeizel throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hihnavaara's body to avoid the submission. Hihnavaara has instead reached around Schmeizel's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hihnavaara arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
