Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kisuke Urahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kisuke Urahara!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandr Romanov!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urahara jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Urahara throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Urahara moves in looking to clinch but Romanov pushes him off.
Urahara tries to bum rush Romanov with a series of wild strikes but Romanov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Romanov takes a jab right on the kisser.
Urahara thuds a left hand into Romanov's body.
Romanov cracks Urahara with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Romanov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Urahara misses with a leg kick
and Romanov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Kisuke Urahara has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Urahara.
Urahara lands with an overhand left.
Romanov wants to land a leg kick but Urahara is out of range.
Urahara throws a sloppy head kick and Romanov moves out of range easily.
Romanov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Urahara. Urahara obviously looking to wear him down.
Urahara attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kisuke Urahara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Urahara is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Romanov.

and Romanov counters with a nice low kick that buckles Urahara's knee momentarily.

Urahara fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Romanov on the side of the head.
Romanov avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Romanov moves away from the strike by Urahara.
Urahara tries to clinch up but Romanov circles away and keeps his distance.

Urahara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Romanov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Urahara throws a series of strikes that have Romanov backpedaling.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Romanov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Romanov checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Urahara doesn't manage to clinch there - Romanov circles away.

A punch lands to the side of Urahara 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Romanov moves out of range as Urahara strikes.
Urahara scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Urahara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Romanov manages to avoid it.

Urahara darts in and clinches Romanov up against the cage.
Romanov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Urahara with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Urahara pushes off an throws an elbow but Romanov leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Romanov wants to break free but Urahara has control.

Romanov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
With the fighters up against the cage, Urahara throws an elbow but misses.
Urahara pushes Romanov back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Urahara pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Urahara struggles to land a body shot inside as Romanov controls his hands.

Urahara goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Urahara swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Romanov blocks the elbow strike.
Romanov using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Urahara has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Romanov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Urahara thows a body shot but no joy.
Urahara thuds a left hand into Romanov's body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Romanov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Urahara circles away quickly and effectively.

Urahara takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Urahara lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Urahara takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Romanov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Romanov gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Romanov lands with a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kisuke Urahara will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Romanov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Urahara moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Urahara looks to land a right hand but Romanov moved out of range.
No joy there for Urahara, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Romanov feints a jab and as Urahara dips his head, Romanov unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Urahara right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Urahara falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Romanov smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Alexandr Romanov!
