Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles LaFontier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liquid Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liquid Snake is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles LaFontier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Liquid Snake!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snake waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract LaFontier.

LaFontier gets caught flat footed, as Snake shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Snake working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Snake throwing strikes but missing.
Snake throwing strikes from guard but LaFontier blocks nicely.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Snake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Snake drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but LaFontier manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Snake has LaFontier in his guard.

Snake working for submissions but it's allowed LaFontier to get to half guard.

Snake looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

LaFontier is working for a submission of some sort.
LaFontier wants to take a breather but Snake is having none of it.
LaFontier prevents Snake from improving his position.
LaFontier is trying to control the action in half guard but Snake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Snake gets back to full guard.
LaFontier controlling from the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Snake throws his legs up looking for a submission but LaFontier uses it to pass to side control.

LaFontier is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Snake is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
LaFontier trying to control the action but Snake is working from the bottom.
Snake struggling a bit here.
Snake manages to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Snake looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Snake is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but LaFontier pulls his head out easily.
Snake won't allow LaFontier to pass to mount.
LaFontier is trying to control the action in half guard but Snake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Snake is trying to get back to full guard.
LaFontier stalling away here and it's allowed Snake to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Snake had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. LaFontier defends it easily.
Snake has a closed guard, preventing LaFontier from standing up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Snake working for a triangle but LaFontier defends it easily.
LaFontier has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Snake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. LaFontier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Snake is tightening it up a little... LaFontier has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! LaFontier reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! LaFontier taps out! Nice BJJ there by Snake!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Liquid Snake!
A very excited looking Liquid Snake rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
