Austin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance music. Steve Austin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Kota Kamiya!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin avoids the body shot from Kamiya.
Austin throws a push kick but Kamiya slaps the foot to one side.
Kamiya misses with a body shot.
Austin throws a series of punches but Kamiya avoids them all with ease.
Kamiya throws out a leg kick but Austin moves out of range and Kamiya only half commits.
Kamiya tries to score with a low kick but Austin moves his leg out of the way.
Kamiya fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Austin manages to avoid it.
Kamiya lands a leg kick that knocks Austin off balance momentarily.
Austin shoots in for a takedown but Kamiya shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kamiya throws a leg kick but Austin checks it.
Kamiya moves out of range of the strikes.
Kamiya lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Austin throws a leg kick but Kamiya checks it.
Austin throws a jab but it's blocked by Kamiya.
An inside leg kick from Kamiya misses.
Austin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kamiya throws out the jab.
Austin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kamiya slips a jab from Austin.

Austin looks to score with a jab to the body but Kamiya is just out of range.

Kamiya tries to land a leg kick but Austin saw it coming and moves away.
Kamiya misses with an uppercut. Austin saw that one coming.
Kamiya throws a sloppy head kick
and Austin counters with a stiff right hand.
Austin fails with a takedown attempt.

Kamiya manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Austin on his heels. He'll look to pass Austin's guard now, I'm sure.
Austin is trying to control the position but Kamiya postures up.
Kamiya lands a couple of elbows.
Austin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Austin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kamiya.
Kamiya tries to free his leg and advance position but Austin is retaining full guard.
Kamiya trying to control the position from guard on top but Austin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kamiya lands a couple of elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kamiya got a little sloppy there for a moment and Austin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kamiya has managed to get both his arms back between Austin's legs - danger averted.

Austin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kamiya distracts Austin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Austin is trying to control the position but Kamiya postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kamiya accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kamiya throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Austin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kamiya throwing strikes from guard but Austin blocks nicely.
Austin trying to keep a closed guard but Kamiya is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kamiya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Austin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Austin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kamiya trying to control but Austin is working from the bottom.
Austin is trying to keep Kamiya in close.
Austin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Austin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

We're going to have a standup here because Steve Austin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kamiya slips under a jab.
Kamiya thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kamiya on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Austin throws a good cross that connects.
Kamiya pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kamiya throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kamiya takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kamiya just misses with a punch to the body.
Kamiya misses with an uppercut.
Kamiya throws a chopping leg kick but Austin manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Good standup being displayed there by Kamiya as he connects with a hook.
Kamiya throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Austin cracks Kamiya with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kamiya misses with a low kick as Austin jumps back.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Kamiya walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Austin digs a good body shot into Kamiya's ribs.
Steve Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Austin. That snapped Kamiya's head back.
Horrible takedown by Austin or perhaps it was just good defense by Kamiya which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Austin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A clash of legs there as Austin blocks the low kick.
Austin misses with a hook. Kamiya ducked under it nicely.
Nice uppercut lands for Kamiya. That snapped Austin's head back.

Kamiya gets a takedown into half guard.
Austin is pressing down on Kamiya's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kamiya scoring with some ground and pound.

Austin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kamiya doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kamiya manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kamiya postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Austin is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kamiya frees his head nicely. Oh but Austin has switched to an armbar! Kamiya is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Steve Austin!
Steve Austin made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Throw me a couple of Steveweisers!'.
