The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Chair misses.
No joy there for Chair, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jane avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jane misses with a hook
and Chair counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jane looks to land a left hand but Chair moved out of range nicely.
Jane checks the leg kick.
Jane throws a jab when Chair was well out of range.
Chair looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jane is fending him off so far but Chair persists. Nope, Jane circles away and we're back to standing.
Jane misses with a body shot
and Chair counters with a good low kick that Jane was not able to check.
Jane looks to land a left hand but Chair moved out of range nicely.
A big right from Jane misses.
Chair finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mary Jane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Chair misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jane.
Jane lands a jab to Chair's midsection.
Chair shoots in looking for a takedown. Jane tries to sprawl out of it but Chair keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jane gets caught napping as Chair dives in and scores a takedown. Jane manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jane wants to sweep here but Chair controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jane manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chair manages to get himself to full guard.

Jane slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mary Jane has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A clash of legs there as Jane blocks the low kick.
A lazy left from Jane finds it's target.

It looks like Carpet Chair has been cut.
Chair has a takedown stuffed.
Mary Jane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carpet Chair.
Chair fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jane avoids it really well and circles away.
Carpet Chair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chair feints and as Jane raises his hands in defense, Chair changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jane wants to sweep here but Chair controlling him for the moment.
Chair trying to control the position from guard on top but Jane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jane is pulling down on Chair's head. It's preventing any offense from Chair, at least for the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chair misses with a head shot. Jane uses the momentum to regain guard.
Jane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Jane lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chair!
Chair is squirming around, avoiding Jane's attempts to control the action.
Chair is looking to improve his position but Jane isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

enabling Jane to counter with a crisp jab.

and Jane counters with a straight right hand.

Jane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Chair gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Chair throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jane counters with a big right hand! Oh Chair is in trouble here! Jane follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
