The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Punk as he avoids it easily.
Boom lands a big head kick that sends Punk tumbling to the mat! Boom takes a step backwards and waves Punk back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Punk is rocked!
It looks like Cm Punk has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Punk dives in and grabs Boom's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boom pushes down on Punk's head and hops out.
Punk is still on wobbly legs! Can Boom finish him?
Punk gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
