Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Javier Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva's choice of entrance music: Kanye West - Amazing. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Pena finds it's target.
Pena swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva counters with a two punch combo.
Pena ducks right into an uppercut from Silva.
Silva throws a body punch but Pena moves out of range.
Pena slips under a jab from Silva.
A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target.
Pena moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Pena misses with a series of wild punches.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pena misses with a few strikes there.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Silva misses with a straight left.
Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pena sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pena lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Silva throws a jab but it's blocked by Pena.
Pena throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pena has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pena there as he acknowledges the shot.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silva dodges the punch combination from Pena.
Pena drops his hands momentarily and Silva takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pena cracks Silva with an open hand slap.
Pena throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.

Silva takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Pena shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pena is trying to stand back up but Silva is controlling him
Silva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pena is looking to escape.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Pena is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Silva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pena with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva misses with a head shot. Pena uses the momentum to regain guard.

Julio Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Silva's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pena connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Silva scrambles back to his feet.
Pena is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

I've got Silva winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
