Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ico moves away.
Ico misses with a leg kick
and Valentine counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ico misses with a body shot.
Ico misses with an uppercut.
Ico lands a leg kick that knocks Valentine off balance momentarily.
Valentine keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Valentine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ico but Ico pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ico throws a head kick but Valentine moves out of range.
Ico on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Ico swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Valentine fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ico to the ground. Valentine is now in Ico's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ico is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ico keeping moving, preventing Valentine from controlling successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valentine working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Valentine frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Valentine wants to control the pace but Ico is squirming around nicely.

Ico takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Valentine's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
