The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoiles throws out a leg kick but Garcia moves out of range and Hoiles only half commits.
Garcia avoids the body shot from Hoiles.
A telegraphed right hand from Garcia misses the target.
Hoiles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garcia.
Hoiles keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Garcia uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hoiles.
Garcia misses with a looping right.
Hoiles throws a leg kick but Garcia sees it coming and moves out of range.
Good leg kick by Garcia there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Garcia lands a lovely overhand right.
Garcia connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hoiles momentarily.

It looks like Mike Hoiles has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Garcia buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Garcia drops Hoiles with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hoiles looks back up at him and smiles so Garcia waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Garcia cracks Hoiles with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hoiles looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Garcia finish him?

Hoiles is rocked!
Garcia lands a right hook to the body.
Hoiles is still on wobbly legs! Can Garcia finish him?
Garcia is stalking Hoiles. Hoiles circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Garcia, and it's lights out! Hoiles really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

A determined Roberto Garcia didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
