Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Arkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Sykloni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sykloni's choice of entrance music: David Arkenstone - Carrickfergus. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Arkley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sami Sykloni!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arkley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sykloni sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Arkley pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

and Sykloni counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Arkley takes a body punch but keeps moving.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sykloni walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Arkley checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Sykloni cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Arkley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Arkley rushes Sykloni and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sykloni ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sykloni no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Arkley wants to control from the top but Sykloni keeps moving.

Sykloni had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Arkley defends it easily.
Arkley wants to stand but Sykloni is controlling his posture from full guard.

Sykloni looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Arkley puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Sykloni looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Arkley has picked Sykloni up and slammed him! Sykloni can't keep hold of the triangle and Arkley manages to pass to side control!

The fighters are battling for position here. Sykloni manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Arkley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sykloni manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
That kick from Sykloni tenderised Arkley's leg. Arkley is trying to keep his angry face on.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Sykloni in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sykloni connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Arkley's hands.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sykloni, as that shot connected.
Arkley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sykloni can pounce on him.
