These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Equinox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duke Justice!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Equinox throws a series of punches but Justice moves out of range.
Nice body kick from Justice.
Justice loads up on a big right hand but Equinox slips the punch.
Justice fails with a takedown attempt.
A choreographed right hand from Justice misses the target.

Justice closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Justice postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Equinox is looking to reverse the position.
Justice advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Justice cracks Equinox with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


Equinox is rocked!
Justice lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Equinox hang on?
Oh Equinox is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Equinox holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Justice tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Justice looking to ground and pound but Equinox is blocking nicely.
Equinox seems to have got his legs back now.
Justice throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Justice pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Justice with shots to the head and body - Equinox looks very uncomfortable down there.

Justice postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Equinox bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Justice and the fight is over!
