Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Buchanan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Locker!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buchanan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Locker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Buchanan is in Locker's guard.
Locker keeping moving, preventing Buchanan from controlling successfully.
Buchanan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Buchanan works over Locker with some ground and pound from guard.
Buchanan wants to control from the top but Locker keeps moving.
Buchanan lands a couple of digs.

Buchanan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Locker is looking to stand back up but Buchanan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Locker.
Buchanan passes the guard and advances to mount!
Locker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buchanan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Locker is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Buchanan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Locker looks a forlorn figure.
Locker is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Buchanan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Locker hang on?

Buchanan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Locker has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Locker is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Buchanan throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Locker has his hands clasped together but Buchanan breaks the hold and Locker is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Buchanan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Paul Buchanan!
