Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ozuma Obata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Jecht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obata comes to the cage accompanied by Hijack The Terrorist Group - Hijack. Jecht has chosen Pink Floyd - Young Lust as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sir Jecht!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obata throws a lazy right hand but Jecht sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Obata misses the body punch
and Jecht connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Jecht is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Jecht counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Jecht throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Obata's waist but Obata gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jecht off to one side.

Ozuma Obata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sir Jecht.

Jecht closes the distance and clinches up with Obata, looking for a takedown. Jecht pushes Obata against the cage but Obata circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Obata throws a leg kick which misses Jecht's front leg but catches the back leg as Jecht tries to avoid it.

Ozuma Obata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Obata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jecht closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jecht slips a nice elbow through Obata's hands, connecting with Obata's forehead.
Jecht has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jecht is nestled in close to Obata, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jecht scores with a big shot! Obata's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Obata! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
