Le kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Free - Cat Power. Alekseev has chosen Imperium as his entrance music. Leifur Le could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Oleg Alekseev's chin.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le pivots, looking for a leg kick but Alekseev is out of range and Le settles back down.
Alekseev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Alekseev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Le but Le pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Le scoring well with a low kick there.
Le lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Oleg Alekseev has been cut.
Alekseev shoots for a double leg takedown but Le sprawls well. He's pushed Alekseev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Leifur Le has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Alekseev.
A jab from Le misses.
Alekseev shoots in and drives through. Le sprawls well.
Alekseev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Le sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alekseev somewhat.
Alekseev shoots in looking for a takedown but Le manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alekseev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Alekseev shoots in but no luck this time.
Alekseev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Le is fending him off so far but Alekseev persists. Nope, Le circles away and we're back to standing.

Nice takedown defense from Le. No joy for Alekseev on that attempt.

and Le connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alekseev is trying desperately to land a takedown but Le is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Alekseev.
Le moves into range and connects with a jab.

Le throws a leg kick which misses Alekseev's front leg but catches the back leg as Alekseev tries to avoid it.
Le throws a nice outside leg kick.
Alekseev tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Le dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alekseev circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Le. Alekseev falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Le!

Leifur Le retains his heavyweight title!
A relieved looking Leifur Le thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
