Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jyrki Katainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Topi Takala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takala comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Volga kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Takala. Katainen does a little dance to reset his feet.

Takala is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Katainen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Takala sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Takala fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Katainen manages to avoid it.
Takala dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Katainen. That did some damage!

Katainen is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Takala's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Katainen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takala.
Takala clobbers Katainen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Takala throws an overhand right that lands on Katainen's shoulder, as Katainen tries to avoid the shot.
Katainen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Takala scores with a head kick. Katainen tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Katainen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Takala cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Takala throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh Katainen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Katainen seems to have got his legs back now.
Takala pushes Katainen away with a front kick.
Katainen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Takala can pounce on him.

Katainen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Takala has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Katainen walks straight into a right hand from Takala - that's dropped him! Takala jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Katainen from any more punishment! Katainen complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
