Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Firco Nowack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gimli Gloin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gimli Gloin!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gloin steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nowack. That one must have hurt.
Gloin walks into a straight right hand from Nowack.
Gloin throws a series of punches but Nowack avoids them all with ease.
Nowack moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nowack lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gloin's sensitive parts.
Nowack moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Nowack clinches up with Gloin and pushes him back against the cage.
Gloin is trying to pull guard but Nowack turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Nowack content to slow the pace in the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nowack lands a nice knee to the body.
A bit of stalling here from Nowack.

Gloin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nowack smiles and moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nowack takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Nowack lands a good knee to the midsection. Gloin won't want to take too many of those.
Nowack stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Nowack - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Firco Nowack.
Gloin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nowack lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Gimli Gloin has been cut.
Nowack lands a big head kick that sends Gloin to the canvas! Nowack follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
