Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Shouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shogun Rua has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Shouse !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shouse avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rua fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rua drives through with a takedown into Shouse 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Shouse escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rua gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rua drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rua jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rua drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shouse manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rua has Shouse in his guard.
Rua has a closed guard, preventing Shouse from standing up.

Rua is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Shouse has his hands clasped together but Rua extends an breaks Shouse 's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rua.
