The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salwa misses with a hook.

Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Salwa is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Johnson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Salwa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Salwa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well.
Johnson is staying active underneath Salwa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Johnson tries to buck Salwa off but Salwa is having none of it.

Salwa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson is trying to control Salwa's posture but Salwa avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gabriel Salwa will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Salwa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Johnson.

Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Brock Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Salwa.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salwa throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily.
Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Salwa throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Salwa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it.

Salwa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts.

Johnson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Salwa.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Salwa feints and then cracks Johnson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnson down.

Salwa lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Salwa buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Johnson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Salwa throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Salwa swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Johnson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Salwa - the referee stops the clock and Johnson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Salwa. Johnson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Johnson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
