Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chez Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noob Saibot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saibot has chosen Mortal Kombat: Noob Saibot Fatalities as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels moves out of range as Saibot strikes.
Michaels misses with a few strikes there.
Saibot thuds a left hand into Michaels's body.
Saibot avoids the head kick by Michaels.
Saibot misses with a wild body shot.
A shot to the liver by Saibot. Beautiful body shot.
Michaels throws a leg kick but Saibot sees it coming and moves out of range.
Saibot cracks Michaels with an open hand slap.
Michaels bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Saibot feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Michaelss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Michaels throws a nice inside leg kick.
Michaels lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Saibot throws a series of punches but Michaels moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saibot shoots in looking for a takedown but Michaels manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Saibot's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A lazy left from Saibot finds it's target.
Saibot ducks under a wild hook from Michaels.
Saibot throws out a loose jab but Michaels uses good head movement to avoid it.
Saibot just misses with a punch to the body.
Michaels lands with a thumping leg kick.

Saibot's corner calls for a 1-2. Saibot obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Michaels throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Michaels lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Michaels swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Saibot closes this distance looking for a takedown but Michaels circles away.
Michaels will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Saibot steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Michaels. That one must have hurt.
Good leg kick by Michaels there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Michaels throws a head kick but Saibot moves out of range.
Saibot ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Saibot thuds a left hand into Michaels's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Saibot misses the jab.
Michaels misses with the combination.
Michaels looks to land a combination but Saibot avoids it well.

Saibot lands a jab-cross combination.
Saibot thows a body shot but no joy.
Michaels chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Saibot throws a big shot that misses.
Saibot takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Michaels misses with a low kick.

Saibot looking to score a takedown here. Michaels is defending well but Saibot drives through and ends up in Michaels's guard.
Michaels lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Saibot!
Michaels is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.

Saibot is positioning himself well to prevent Michaels advancing to mount.

Michaels stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
A combination from Michaels does no damage.
Horrible takedown by Saibot or perhaps it was just good defense by Michaels which made him look bad.
Chez Michaels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noob Saibot.
Saibot moves out of range of the body kick from Michaels.
Saibot dips to his left and cracks Michaels with an uppercut!
Michaels lands a leg kick that knocks Saibot off balance momentarily.

Saibot looking to score a takedown here. Michaels is defending well but Saibot drives through and ends up in Michaels's guard.
Michaels is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Michaels wants to stand up but Saibot is controlling him.
Saibot slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Michaels not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Saibot trying to control but Michaels is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Saibot takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Saibot throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Saibot lands a nice shot to the body.
Michaels with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Michaels stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Michaels wants it to stay on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michaels throws a quick inside leg kick.
Good work by Saibot as he checks the leg kick.
Michaels shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Saibot eats them both and turns towards Michaels to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Saibot throws a big shot that misses.

Saibot closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Michaels is pushing Saibot's head away, looking to escape. Saibot manages to hold on to the position though.
Michaels manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Saibot is trying to control. Michaels wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Saibot prevents Michaels from standing back up.

Saibot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Michaels knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saibot on the ground.

Saibot is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Michaels doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saibot.

Saibot is looking to take a break and control but Michaels is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Michaels is trying to stand up here but Saibot is controlling him well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
