Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Dael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaharu Funaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dael misses with a wild combination.

It looks like Masaharu Funaki has been cut.
Dael has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Funaki.

and Funaki counters with a single leg into guard. Dael didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Funaki wants to control from the top but Dael keeps moving.
Funaki passes Dael's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dael is staying active underneath Funaki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dael has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Funaki is working away from the top position though.
Funaki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dael does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Funaki is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Funaki wants to take a breather but Dael is having none of it.
Dael knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Funaki on the ground.

Dael wants to control but Funaki is keeping busy.
Funaki tries to pass to full mount but Dael defends it.
Dael on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dael tries to get out of the position.

Funaki is looking to take a break and control but Dael is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Funaki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Funaki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Masaharu Funaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Funaki throws a hook to the side of Dael's head but Dael sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Funaki shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dael is trying to defend but Funaki finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Funaki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dael is looking for a sweep. Funaki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Funaki is taking a breather. Dael says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
