The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lester lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sting circles away quickly and effectively.
Lester misses with a body kick.
Lester scores with a sloppy right hand. Sting should have avoided that one.
Sting waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lester.
Lester throws a looping overhand right but Sting ducks down to avoid it.
Sting pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sting.
Lester throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lester misses with a low kick.
Lester misses with a kick to the body.
An inside leg kick from Lester misses.
Sting defending well as Lester loads up on a big left hand.
Lester wants to clinch.
Lester throws a nice outside leg kick.

Sting throws a series of punches but Lester avoids them all with ease.
Sting paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Sting closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Sting working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lester gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Lester wants to improve his position but Sting is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sting connects with a nice short shot to Lester's temple.
Sting missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Lester tries to get to full guard but Sting has control of the leg.

Sting wants to take a breather but Lester is having none of it.
Lester is looking to control Sting's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lester avoid being mounted?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sting thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lester's head.
Sting missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Lester tries to roll over but Sting keeps him under control.
Sting trying to control from half guard but Lester is working away.
Lester looks like he's trying to stand up.

Sting is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Lester is staying active underneath Sting, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lester controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Sting seems to be working for a kimura but Lester defends the submission attempt.
Sting prevents Lester from improving his position.
Sting stops Lester from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sting has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lester defend it? Sting steps over the head and cranks it - Lester is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sting!
