The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Brona with that takedown attempt.
Oppelaar misses with the combination.

Oppelaar drops Brona with a beautiful combination! Brona stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Oppelaar is looking for the KO!

Brona is rocked!

It looks like DJ Brona has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oppelaar looks to land a combination but Brona avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes from Brona. Those never looked like landing.
Brona throws a right hand that Oppelaar ducks under and follows up with a left that Oppelaar also avoids with ease.
Oppelaar tries to bum rush Brona with a series of wild strikes but Brona uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oppelaar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brona will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brona ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Brona lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oppelaar circles away quickly and effectively.
Brona wants to land a leg kick but Oppelaar is out of range.
Oppelaar throws a nice looking combination but Brona bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oppelaar throws an overhand right that lands on Brona's shoulder, as Brona tries to avoid the shot.
Oppelaar lands the left hand.

Oppelaar slaps away a takedown attempt from Brona, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dennis Oppelaar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Brona.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Oppelaar checks a leg kick.
Oppelaar swats away the attempt to clinch by Brona.
Brona throws a looping overhand right but Oppelaar ducks down to avoid it.
Brona tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oppelaar swivels and escapes.
Oppelaar misses with a wild combination.
Brona shoots in for a takedown but Oppelaar shows good takedown defense.
Brona misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brona is trying desperately to land a takedown but Oppelaar is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Brona.
Oppelaar rushes Brona with punches - Brona moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Brona goes down! Oppelaar follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
